I built an ongoing relationship with Hellion Trace, working closely alongside founder Laura Kriefman on a range of projects including Kicking the Mic and Mass Crane Dance, as well as new works which were in development.
The relationship started during the final term placement for my MA Creative Producing. The key project that I delivered during this time was Press Play, an interactive installation that became part of The Children’s Media Conference Playground at The Millennium Gallery in Sheffield and The Fantastical Multimedia Pop Up Exhibition at The Edge Arts Centre in Bath. I managed the relationships with both galleries, arranging deliveries and collections of the large panel, and ensuring that installations and de-rigs went smoothly with both remote support for Sheffield and in-person support at Bath. I also ensured that resources were pulled together for future marketing of the piece.
Alongside this work, I also started the research and relationship brokering for future bookings of the augmented dance performance piece Kicking the Mic. This involved detailed research into hundreds of international conferences, festivals and venues who might be interested in the work, later contacting all of these with information about the show, and following up any queries and responses.
